A short reflective tool

Meaning in Life Test

This is a short, free self-reflection exercise inspired by existential psychology — specifically Viktor Frankl's concept of the existential vacuum, a persistent sense of emptiness even when life looks fine from the outside. It takes about 3 minutes.

I'm Katia Tandon, a psychologist and ICF certified coach trained directly at the Viktor Frankl Institut in Vienna. This test draws on that training, though it's a reflective tool I built myself, not a reproduction of any formal instrument.

This is a reflective tool, not a diagnostic instrument. It cannot diagnose a mental health condition, and a low score isn't a verdict — it's a starting point for a conversation. If you're currently in crisis, please reach out to a crisis line or emergency services in your country rather than relying on this page.

Prefer to just talk it through instead of taking a quiz? That's completely fine — most people who work with me on this don't arrive with it neatly labeled.
