Executive & business coaching

Executive coaching for leaders who need clarity

I'm Katia Tandon, an ICF-certified executive coach and psychologist. I work one-to-one with senior leaders, executives and founders who face a major decision, a transition or a ceiling, and want a clearer view of what to do next. I've held leadership roles at Oracle, Novartis and Colgate-Palmolive, so I know the pressure from the inside.

When coaching helps

What leaders bring to coaching

Decisions

A decision that keeps getting harder

A role change, a restructuring, a relocation, an offer. You have the facts and still can't see the answer. Coaching gives you space to think it through with someone who has nothing riding on the outcome.

Transitions

A bigger role with different rules

A promotion, a new company or your first role leading other leaders. What made you successful so far won't carry you through the next stage on its own.

Pressure

High output, with a cost you can feel

You deliver, and it shows in your sleep, your energy or your patience at home. Sustainable performance is a leadership skill, and it can be built.

Teams

Leading across cultures and languages

International teams, matrix structures, stakeholders who read you differently. We look at how you lead when the context keeps shifting.

Influence

Being heard at the senior table

Your team respects you, and you're less visible upward. We work on how you communicate, negotiate and build trust with the board, investors and peers.

Direction

A next step that isn't obvious

A career that looks right on paper and feels off. Whether to stay, move, start something of your own or step back, and how to decide.

Why this approach

A coach who is also a psychologist

Business experience from the inside

I've held leadership roles in large international organisations, including Oracle, Novartis and Colgate-Palmolive. I know the politics, the pace and the matrix, so our time goes into your situation, not into explaining how a large company works.

Today I work full time as a psychologist and executive coach, with clients from companies including Microsoft, Apple, Google, Oracle, Meta and Novartis.

Psychology underneath

I hold an MSc in Psychology and trained in existential therapy and logotherapy at the Viktor Frankl Institut in Vienna. That helps me spot patterns, motives and blind spots early, and work with questions of meaning and purpose when they come up, as they often do at senior levels.

Coaching is not therapy, and I keep that boundary clear. If something would be better addressed in therapy, I'll tell you.

I'm an executive coach and psychologist based in Prague. Before coaching full time, I held leadership positions at Oracle, Novartis and Colgate-Palmolive. Today I work one-to-one with leaders from international companies, online and in person, in English, Russian and Czech.

My approach is direct and confidential. I ask the questions that are hard to ask yourself, I'm honest when I see a pattern, and I stay with your agenda, not mine. The decisions remain yours.

She was a good listener and was able to summarise everything I said in half an hour with a simple sentence — a person needs to come up with the solution on their own.

— Ilja Petrov, Principal Engineering Manager, Microsoft

Katia really helped me reframe a problem I was having and set some concrete goals. I manage freelance coaches for my job and could immediately tell she is up there with the best.

— Ashley Sigmon, Senior Career Specialist, CareerFoundry

Questions leaders ask

Executive coaching, answered

What is executive coaching?
Executive coaching is a confidential, one-to-one working relationship between a senior leader and a trained coach. The coach asks questions, offers a different perspective and holds you to what you decide, so that you can think more clearly, make better decisions and lead more effectively. The agenda is yours, and the coach does not tell you what to do.
Who is Katia Tandon, and where can I verify her background?
Katia Tandon is an ICF-certified executive coach and psychologist based in Prague. She has held leadership roles at Oracle, Novartis and Colgate-Palmolive and works with leaders online and in person. Her background can be checked on her LinkedIn profile, she was featured in Influence Digest's Top 15 Coaches in Prague (2024), and she is listed as a coach by Femme Palette's coaching and mentoring programme.
Who is executive coaching for?
Executives, directors, founders and senior managers who are facing a decision, a transition or a plateau, or who want to lead with more clarity and less strain. It suits capable people who want a sharper view of their own situation, not people who need fixing.
How much does executive coaching cost?
Pricing is on request. The fee depends on what you want to work on, the format and the length of the engagement, so I share it once we've talked about your situation and before you commit to anything. Write to me through the form on this page or at katia.tandon@gmail.com, and I reply within 12 hours.
How do I get started, and how soon can we begin?
Send a short message through the form on this page or email katia.tandon@gmail.com. I reply within 12 hours. We then arrange a first conversation, and dates are set around your schedule.
How is executive coaching different from therapy?
Coaching looks forward: your goals, your decisions and how you lead. Therapy treats psychological distress and its causes. I'm both an ICF-certified coach and a psychologist, so I can tell the difference, and I'll tell you if something would be better addressed in therapy.
Is coaching available online or in person?
Both. I work online with leaders around the world and in person at my office in Prague 3 (Olšanská 3). Online sessions suit leaders who travel or work across time zones.
Which languages do you coach in?
English, Russian and Czech. You can coach in the language you lead and think in, which matters when the work is about how you communicate and how you're heard.
Where do you work with leaders?
Online with leaders across the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Israel and the UAE, and further afield, including the United States and Singapore. In person in Prague.
What does ICF-certified mean?
The ICF, the International Coaching Federation, is a global professional body for coaches. Being ICF-certified means I completed coach training that meets ICF standards, and I work to the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics, which include confidentiality.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is part of the ICF Code of Ethics and of my work as a psychologist. If your employer is paying for the coaching, we agree at the start what, if anything, is shared with the organisation.
How long does an executive coaching engagement last?
It depends on what you want to achieve. Some leaders come for a specific decision or transition, others for longer-term work. We agree the format together at the start.
What kind of leaders have you worked with?
My clients include executives and senior leaders from international companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, Oracle, Meta and Novartis. Before coaching full time, I held leadership positions at Oracle, Novartis and Colgate-Palmolive.
Can my company pay for coaching, or can you coach my team?
Yes. I work with individual leaders and with organisations, including programmes for teams and leadership groups. See the corporate programmes page for more, or write to me with what you have in mind.
What is the difference between a coach, a mentor and a consultant?
A consultant gives you answers from their expertise, a mentor shares their own experience, and a coach helps you find and test your own answers. I draw on my business background when it helps, and I stay clear about which role I'm in.
How do I know if I need an executive coach?
Common signs are a decision you keep returning to without resolving it, a new role that feels bigger than the last, high performance that costs you more than it should, or an unclear next step. If any of these sound familiar, a first conversation will show whether coaching is the right tool.
