Private psychology,
when the NHS
just can't reach you

You know something isn't right. You've probably looked into NHS therapy and found a 6-month wait — or nothing at all. I offer private online sessions that start within days, not months.

What brings people here

Does any of this sound familiar?

Anxiety & worry

The anxiety that never quite switches off

It follows you into sleep, into conversations, into things that should feel ordinary. You function — but just barely, and at a cost.

Depression & low mood

Going through the motions

You're doing what needs to be done — work, home, the kids — but nothing feels like yours anymore. Like you're watching your own life from somewhere else.

Life transitions

A change that's turned everything upside down

A new country, a new job, a relationship ending, becoming a parent. Something shifted and you haven't found your footing again.

Relationships & family

Communication that's broken down

With a partner, with your parents, with your children. The distance keeps growing and you don't know how to close it.

Identity & self-doubt

Not sure who you are anymore

You've achieved things. Done what was expected. But somewhere along the way the question of what you actually want got lost.

Crisis

Thoughts that frighten you

Thoughts of self-harm, of not wanting to be here. These deserve to be taken seriously — and spoken about with someone who won't panic.

Why people turn to private therapy in the UK

  • NHS Talking Therapies average wait: 8–26 weeks depending on your area — longer for anything beyond mild anxiety
  • Most NHS therapy is limited to 6–12 sessions of CBT; longer or deeper work isn't available
  • Private UK therapists charge Contact for fees per session, with their own 2–4 week wait
  • Online therapy removes geography entirely — you get the same quality regardless of where in the UK or Ireland you live

I've been a therapist for over 20 years. In that time I've worked with people through depression and anxiety, acute life crises, relationship breakdowns, suicidal thoughts, identity confusion — the full range of what it means to be human and struggling.

I trained and worked across Central and Eastern Europe, and have spent much of my career supporting people who are navigating significant transitions — moving countries, rebuilding relationships, re-examining who they are and what they want.

What that means for you: I've seen a great deal. I'm not easily frightened by what you bring into a session. I don't rush to reassure you, and I won't give you a checklist. I listen first, and I work with what's actually there.

I work online, which means you get consistent, uninterrupted access to the same person — regardless of where you live in the UK or Ireland. No referrals needed. No GP letter. You can simply reach out.

Katia really helped me reframe a problem I was having and set some concrete goals — and she did this by asking great coaching questions so I had to think for myself. I manage freelance coaches for my job and could immediately tell that Katia is up there with the best.

— Ashley Sigmon, Senior Career Specialist

I was sceptical at first, and sometimes even doubting the process — but at the very end it all made sense and helped me realise what my next steps in life should be.
